Lahore receives first-ever artificial rain within area of 10-15km: Caretaker CM

LAHORE (92 News) - The provincial capital received the first-ever artificial rain, also known as cloud seeding, on Saturday.

Addressing a press conference, Punjab Caretaker Chief Minister Mohsin Naqvi said that the successful experiment of the artificial rain was conducted in Lahore within the radius of 10-15 kilometres.

"We did not spend a single rupee son the artificial rain. We are thankful to the United Arab Emirates whose team was present in Lahore," he announced.

The CM said that 48 flares were fired during the first-ever rain.

"We are waiting the results of the rain which is expected to come by night. The rain experience was conducted in the areas of Jail Road, the Mall Road, Qartaba Chowk, Shadman, Canal Road and Chauburji Chowk," he added.
