ISLAMABAD (92 News) - Special Assistant to the Prime Minister for Accountability Irfan Qadir has said that legislation is the prerogative of the parliament and the judiciary has nothing to do with it.

Addressing a press conference on Saturday, he said that the state is above all and then come the institutions. "We are followers of the constitution. If the attorney general is showing patience, it does not mean the state is weak," he added.

Irfan Qadir said that the thought of becoming above the constitution is unconstitutional. "Some people are interfering in the institutions. We want the state institutions should work within their domains and the country should make progress," he maintained.

He said that the state is not answerable to the judges and patriotism of all should be visible. "Judges cannot hold the government accountable and it is the violation of the Article 7," he added.

The special assistant said that the elections will be held in the country simultaneously.
