LHC stops NAB from arresting Hamza Shehbaz till April 8

LAHORE (92 News) – The Lahore High Court (LHC) has stopped the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) from arresting Opposition Leader in the Punjab Assembly Hamza Shahbaz till April 8. LHC Chief Justice Sardar Muhammad Shamim Khan heard the Hamza Shahbaz’s plea for pre-arrest bail. Amjad Pervez advocate and LHC President Hafizur Rahman Chaudhry appeared on behalf of Hamza Shahbaz. Amjad Pervez advocate stated that Hamza Shehbaz will lose the right to appear for the pre-arrest bail if he is arrested. He said that the NAB officers were present outside the house of Hamza Shehbaz to arrest him. The pre-arrest plea will be heard on Monday. After the LHC order, the NAB team returned back. The PML-N workers mounted the vehicles of NAB officers and chanted slogans. They also chanted slogans against the NAB.
