Monsoon’s first rain turns streets and roads into canals in Lahore

LAHORE (92 News) - Roads and streets turned into canals after the first rain of the monsoon in Lahore and adjoining areas.
The rainwater belied the tall claims of the WASA as several areas remained inundated after several hours of the rain.
Maximum rain of 110mm was recorded at Qartaba Chowk, while 105mm rain was recorded at Lakshmi Chowk. Over 100 feeders tripped in Nisbat Road, Mozang, Chah Miran and Allama Iqbal Town.
On the other hand, eight people, including two children, have died during recent rains in several districts of Balochistan. According to the PDMA report, 25 people were also wounded in the rain-related incidents.
