Nawaz Sharif will be PM if PML-N wins elections: PM Shehbaz Sharif

ISLAMABAD (92 News) - Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has said that PML-N Quaid Nawaz Sharif will be the prime minister if his party wins the elections.

Talking to senior journalists on Saturday, he said that the Supreme Court verdict is not a hurdle in the way of Nawaz Sharif because he had complete his five-year term of disqualification.

"I will never disclose the political secrets of the 16-month government tenure. We ran the government in a very difficult time. Any corruption case of a single penny surfaced during this period," he maintained.

The prime minister said that there was no issue in lauding the army chief. "We accept that our vote bank has been affected. Everything has been saved if the state is saved," he added.

He said that a huge amount of Rs26 billion is not being recovered due to pending cases. "There is a need for a major surgery in the power sector. The previous government did not take the national interests in consideration," he maintained.
