Newly-elected Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif sworn in

ISLAMABAD (92 News) - Newly-elected Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif took the oath of his office at President's House on Monday.

President Dr Arif Alvi administered him the oath. Outgoing Caretaker Prime Minister Anwaarul Haq Kakar, Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee Sahir Shamshad Mirza, Chief of Army Staff Asim Munir, services chiefs, chief minister of three provinces and governors of four provinces attended the oath-taking ceremony.

PMl-N Quaid Nawaz, PPP chairman Bilawal Bhutto, Asif Zardari, NA Speaker Sardar Ayaz Sadiq, MQM leader Khalid Maqbool and IPP president Abdul Aleem Khan were also present.

Later, the prime minister was presented the guard of honour on his arrival at PM House. On the other hand, a farewell ceremony was held in honour of the outgoing Caretaker Prime Minister Anwaarul Haq Kakar at PM House. Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif bid farewell to the caretaker prime minister.

The Cabinet Division has issued a notification of the dissolution of the federal cabinet.
