ISLAMABAD (92 News) - Chief Justice of Pakistan Qazi Faez Isa, while hearing suo motu notice of the letter sent by six judges of the Islamabad High Court, remarked that there will be no compromise on the freedom of judiciary.

He observed that they would not tolerate any kind of pressure in their working. "There is a zero-tolerance over the issue of the independence of judiciary. All colleagues will stand with me in the wake of an attack on the judiciary," he remarked.

The CJP observed that he was not criticizing anyone. "No meeting of the full court has been held for the last four years. Where were the lawyers at that time? If someone has some agenda he should become the chief justice or the Supreme Court Bar Association president," he remarked.

He remarked that he could form a full court on the next date of hearing. "Today's order is that no interference will be tolerated in the working of the judiciary," he ruled.

Later, the case was adjourned until April 29.
