ISLAMABAD (92 News) - Defence Minister Khawaja Asif has said that the Operation Azm-e-Istehkam will be intelligence-based and its features will clear in 2-4 days.

Talking to the media on Tuesday, he said that Azm-e-Istehkam was the continuity of the National Action Plan. “It is not justified to compare it with the operations launched in the past. Some people are opposing the operation to protect their vote bank,” he added.

The minister said that they would reply to all questions and concerns about the operation. “We will remove all reservations about the operation.”

Khawaja Asif said that there were no political objectives behind the operation. “The decision has been made to take effective steps after a surge in the wave of terrorism. The CM did not oppose the operation in the Apex Committee. He talked about supporting the operation. The judiciary should also support this attempt for the national solidarity,” he maintained.
