Pak Army and FC continues relief operation in flood-hit areas across country

RAWALPINDI (92 News) - Pak Army and FC Flood Relief activities continue in various flood hit areas of the country. 

 

Troops are busy in rescue, relief efforts apart from providing medical care and opening up communication infrastructure.

Rivers Situation

All rivers are flowing normal except Indus at low flood at Attock, Tarbela, Chashma, Guddu. Low flood at Warsak & Medium flood at Nowshehra in River Kabul.

KPK

Max 133 mm rain has been recorded in Mardan followed by Mohmand (85 mm). Dewatering efforts carried out in Mardan. Flash floods have been reported in local nullahs of Mohmand Distt.

Southern Punjab

All hill torrents are flowing normal except some increased flow in Mithawan, Kaha & Sanghar Hill torrents. Local commanders visited Rajanpur and DG Khan. Relief items were distributed among flood affectees. Medical camps have been established in both dists.

Balochistan, Jhal Magsi

Complete connectively of Gandhawa has been restored.

No isolated area in Gandhawa and surroundings. Relief activities are underway.

Army Medical Camp treated 115 patients.

Khuzdar. M-8 still cut off. Work on resumption of connectivity underway.

Field Medical Camp established by CMH Khuzdar and FC in Hafizabad treated 145 affected people.

Naseerabad

No rain throughout the day. Relief activities underway for affected population of Babakot & Gandakha.

Ration and cooked food distributed to flood victims.

Field Medical Camp in Gandakha treated various patients.

Chaman

No rain in Chaman. Bab e Dosti fully functional.

Noshki-

No rain today in the area. Relief efforts underway for stranded population.

Cooked meals served to over 1000 people.

N-40 damaged at 3 places has been repaired and traffic resumed.

Lasbela

No rain in the area. situation is stabilizing.

5 field medical camps are providing medical care in Naka, Bela, Duddar, Hub and Gadani.

N-25 has been opened Repair work on bridges is underway.

General Officer Commanding at Gawadar visited Hub and Uthal

2 sorties of MI-17 were conducted and 1500 kgs of ration items were distributed in Hub and Uthal.

Kila Saifullah

Rainfall reported in entire Kila Saifullah Distt.

Muslim Bagh

Field Medical camp established at Khazina treated more than 200 patients.

2 mudslides reported near Sikandarabad at KKH. Road has been opened for one way traffic by FWO.
