Pakistan has close ties with European Union, GSP Plus key to trade: FO spokesperson

ISLAMABAD (92 News) - Foreign Office Spokesperson Mumtaz Zahra Baloch has said that Pakistan has close ties with the European Union.

Addressing a weekly briefing on Thursday, she said that GSP Plus is very important for trade. "Pakistan gives much importance to the relations with the European Union. The GSP Plus status is very important for trade," she clarified.

The spokesperson asked India to protect minorities instead of discussing citizens from other countries. She also reiterated the demand for ceasefire in Gaza.

She said that Pakistan will continue political, diplomatic and moral support to Kashmiris. "Being the founding member, Pakistan is fully committed to advancing the objectives of SAARC as enshrined in its charter. Pakistan has always played an active role in SAARC processes and activities," she declared.
