Indian HC Ajay Bisaria leaves for homeland after expulsion orders
ISLAMABAD (92 News) – Indian High Commissioner (HC) Ajay Bisaria left Islamabad for Lahore en route his homeland via Wagah Border on Thursday.
He is leaving Pakistan after the National Security Committee (NSC) decided to expel him.
It is pertinent to mention here that Pakistan ordered Indian high commissioner to leave the country and called back Pakistan deputy high commissioner from India after abrogating the special status of Indian Held Jammu Kashmir by India.
Bisaria will leave for India through Wagah border. He remained Indian HC to Pakistan for 19 months and 25 days.
Moreover, Pakistan will not send Pakistan high commissioner-designate to India.
Meanwhile, Pakistan summoned Indian deputy high commissioner to Foreign Office and informed him about the decision to expel Indian High Commissioner Ajay Bisaria from the country.
“It is very obvious that our ambassador wouldn’t be in Delhi, and obviously the man who is here will also leave,” Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi said in an interview with a private TV channel.
The decision was made during a meeting of the National Security Committee (NSC). According to the declaration, the National Security Committee discussed situation arising out of unilateral and illegal actions by the Indian government, situation inside Indian Occupied Jammu and Kashmir and along LOC.
The committee decided to take following actions:
- Downgrading of diplomatic relations with India.
- Suspension of bilateral trade with India.
- Review of bilateral arrangements.
- Matter to be taken to the United Nations, including the Security Council.
- Independence Day this 14 August to be observed in solidarity with brave Kashmiris and their just struggle for their right of self-determination.
- 15th August will be observed as Black Day.
