Pakistan will erect fence along Iran border, announces FM Shah Mahmood
ISLAMABAD (92 News) – Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi has announced that Pakistan will erect the fence along the Iran border.
Addressing a press conference on Saturday, he said that Pakistan had formed a new frontier corps to monitor the border in a better way.
“A Baloch terrorist organization is behind the Buzy Top tragedy. The BRAS Group has taken responsibility of the tragedy whose training and logistics camps are located across the Iran border,” he said.
He said that Pakistan wants to keep the Iran border peaceful.
The minister said that special forensic evidence of the incident is available. “Pakistan hopes that Iran will take such action which will be visible,” he said.
He said that Pakistan and Iran are establishing joint border centres.
Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi said that Pakistan has shared actionable intelligence with the Iranian authorities after investigation about the involvement of these elements in the recent terrorist act on the Coastal Highway.
The minister said that Iran is a fraternal neighboring country.”We have longstanding relationships with it.”
Shah Mahmood Qureshi said that he also held a detailed telephonic talk with Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif today and he assured full cooperation to trace these elements.
He said that Pakistan has lodged protest with Iran and the Foreign Office has sent a protest letter to the Iranian Embassy in Islamabad.
The minister said that the letter had demanded action against banned outfits.
