Parliament will decide elections' extension beyond constitutional term: PDM chief

PESHAWAR (92 News) - Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM) chairman Maulana Fazalur Rehman has said that the parliament will decide extension of the elections beyond the constitutional period.

Addressing a press conference on Monday, he said that presently the country is in the grip of the economic crisis. "The PTI government ruthlessly caused the collapse of the economy. Despite difficulties, the people have been given a balanced budget. It is a challenge to uplift the economy," he added.

The PDM chairman said that the centre of the country's foreign policy should be interest of Pakistan. "The JUI will continue to support the government efforts to provide a relief to the masses," he declared.

Condemning the May 9 incidents in a strong term, he called for eliminating this mischief. "We should take strict steps against the people involved in the May 9 incidents," he added.
