PAT chief terms Model Town incident as first test for PTI govt

LAHORE (92 News) – Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) chief Dr Tahirul Qadri termed Model Town incident as the first test for Imran Khan and the PTI-led newly-elected government. Dr Tahirul Qadri reached in Lahore from Istanbul early Wednesday morning. He landed at the Allama Iqbal International Airport where a large number of the PAT workers greeted him by showering rose petals. Talking to the journalists, the PAT chief said that Prime Minister Imran Khan along with him raised a voice against oppression for provision of justice to the victims of the Model Town incident for four years. Dr Tahirul Qadri demanded that all the officers should be put under suspension for providing the justice to the ‘martyrs’. He asked the PM to honour the promise he had made with regard to the Model Town incident. The PAT chief called on the PTI government to bring those behind the carnage to book. He offered condolences on the death of Begum Kulsoom Nawaz and prayed for her.
