Pellet victims demand ban on lethal weapon in IOK
SRINAGAR (KMS) – In Occupied Kashmir, pellet victims held a protest demonstration in Srinagar demanding ban on the use of pellet guns on Monday.
Scores of pellets victims under the banner of Pellet Victims Welfare Trust (PVWT) from various districts of the valley assembled at press club in Srinagar. They were holding placards inscribed with slogans like ‘Pellet Gun Lethal Weapon’, ‘Ban on pellet gun’, ‘Stop use of pellet gun’, ‘Where is humanity where is UN’ and “Where is Human Rights Commission”.
Mohammad Ashraf Wani, one of the pellet victims from Pulwama district, said that they are demanding ban on the use of pellet gun in Kashmir valley so that the next generation could be saved from the lethal weapon. He rejected the Indian government’s claim that pellet gun was a non-lethal weapon terming it a white lie.
The protesters appealed to the common citizens of Kashmir to come in support of pellet victims and contribute towards their medical needs.
