Pervez Khattak to lead probe committee on alleged poll rigging

ISLAMADAB (92 News) – Minister for Defence Pervez Khattak has been appointed as head of the committee to probe on alleged poll rigging in General Elections 2018. According to the reports, a parliamentary committee on alleged poll rigging in General Elections 2018 comprised 24-members comprising members of the National Assembly and the Senate. The committee comprises of 12 members from each the government and the opposition. The government and opposition have submitted their names of the members to NA Speaker Asad Qaiser. The NA speaker will formally announce about the special committee. After issuing the notification, the probe committee will define the Terms of Reference (TORs). Earlier in August, Pakistan Muslim League-N (PML-N) President Shehbaz Sharif in August demanded to form a parliamentary committee to probe allegations of rigging in the general elections.
