PM-designate Shehbaz Sharif expresses concern over Gwadar situation due to rains
ISLAMABAD (92 News) - Prime Minister-designate Shehbaz Sharif on Wednesday expressed concern over the situation in Gwadar due to rains.
He directed the PML-N provincial leadership to start the relief operation on emergency basis. "We are with the affected families in this difficult time. Steps should be taken to reconstruct the demolished houses," he added.
On the other hand, PPP chairman Bilawal Bhutto has directed the party workers to start the rescue activities in the affected areas.
Meanwhile, Senator Kauda Babar has appealed to the government to declare Gwadar a calamity-hit city. "The entire city has drowned, houses have collapsed and boats have broken. We hope that the federal and provincial government will help the affected areas," she added.
