PM Shehbaz Sharif directs federal ministers to adopt austerity

ISLAMABAD (92 News) - Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif presided over the first meeting of the federal cabinet on Tuesday.

Federal Ministers Ishaq Dar, Khawaja Asif, Ahsan Iqbal, Rana Tanvir and Azam Nazir Tarar, Attaullah Tarar, Musadaq Malik, Ahad Cheema, Mohsin Naqvi, Muhammad Aurangzeb, Chaudhary Saalik Hussain, Abdul Aleem Khan, Jam Kamal, Ameer Muqam Awais Leghari, Qaisar Sheikh, Riaz Pirzada and Khalid Maqbool attended the meeting.

According to sources, the prime minister gave guidelines to the ministers. He directed the ministers to adopt austerity as the country is under a huge debt. "We will have to take steps to get the country rid of the foreign loans. Resources can be saved by rectifying their use," he added.
