PM Shehbaz Sharif, IMF MD Kristalina Georgieva discuss early release of package for Pakistan

ISLAMABAD (92 News) - Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif phoned International Monetary Fund (IMF) MD Kristalina Georgieva to discuss the early release of package for Pakistan.

According to sources, they also exchanged their views on preparation of the budget proposals on the IMF conditions.

They also discussed the matters pertaining to lowering the deficit and timely payment of debt.

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has directed the Finance Ministry to prepare the next budget with the IMF.

The sources said that the IMF demands persist on the difference between foreign financing and exchange rate.
