President Arif Alvi rejects summary to call National Assembly session

ISLAMABAD (92 News) - President Arif Alvi on Monday rejected a summary to call a session of the National Assembly.

According to sources, the President has returned the summary to the Ministry of Parliamentary Affairs, asking it complete the House first before calling the session.

On the other hand, Speaker Raja Pervaiz Ashraf presided over a high-ranking meeting at Assembly Secretariat.

According to sources, the Secretariat has advised the speaker to call the session himself on February 29 after rejection by President Arif Alvi. According to sources, the National Assembly must be convened by February 29 as per constitution.
