Protests held in Tehran to condemn Indian atrocities in Iok

TEHRAN (92 News) – Hundreds of people from all walks of life and communities held protests and rallies at Tehran in capital city of Iran against Indian atrocities in Indian Occupied Kashmir (IoK). Protest demonstrations continued all over the world to express solidarity with the innocent Kashmiri people and severe violations of human rights in the occupied valley. A large number of Iranians and Kashmiris including students held a forceful demonstration outside the Indian Embassy and United Nations office in Tehran to denounce India’s recent decision to scrap Article 370 of the Indian Constitution that granted special status to occupied Kashmir. People from different communities participated in the protests. The protesters expressed solidarity with the oppressed people of occupied Kashmir. They also drew attention of the world community towards grave situation of the occupied territory. The protesters were holding banners and placards with slogans “Stop killings in Kashmir, “Kashmir bleeds – World sleeps”, “Dear world Kashmir is bleeding”, “Kashmir belongs to Kashmiris – Only people of Kashmir have the right to decide their future”. The protestors demanded to restore the former status of Kashmir. The speakers highlighted the plight of the Kashmiris, their sufferings and Indian inhuman treatment and the unilateral scraping of the article 370 by India. Protest demonstrations organised by different human rights bodies and civil society organisations in Italy’s city Crosia, South Korea’s capital Seoul, London, New Zealand to express solidarity with Indian Occupied Kahsmir. A protest demonstration was also organised in Karachi, Lahore and Shikarpur which was attended by a large number of people, including men, women and children. Narendra Modi’s government prepared plan to give free hand to their troops – deployed in Indian held Jammu Kashmir – to impose brutalities against the movement of innocent people of occupied valley for independence. The Indian media reported that after the lockdown and communications blackout in Occupied Kashmir since August 5, Modi government prepared long-term strategy involved four point tactics to take possession of Occupied Kashmir According to the first point, key political leaders including Hurriyat and other mainstream Kashmiri politicians will be detained and house arrests will continue permanent basis.
