WASHINGTON (92 News) - US Assistant Secretary of State Donald Lu has declared that the PTI founder's allegation of terming the cipher a US conspiracy is 'blatant lie'.

Giving his statement during a hearing held by the Committee on Foreign Affairs in the US House of Representatives in US on Wednesday, he said that the US had no role in removing the PTI government. "We do not support a particular government in Pakistan," he added.

Donald Lu revealed that he had received death threats following the false allegation of removing the PTI government through a conspiracy. "Pakistan Ambassador Asad Majeed himself has declared the cipher allegation a lie," he maintained.

The US Assistant Secretary of State said that they are concerned about the blockage of internet and attacks on journalists during the elections. "A probe should be conducted into the alleged intervention in the electoral process and responsible should be held accountable," he declared.

Meanwhile, Committee on Foreign Affairs in the US House of Representatives Chairman Michael McCaul has declared the statement of Donald Lu as satisfactory. "The US government will have to strengthen the democratic institutions. The US wants to bring Pakistan out of the economic crisis," he added.
