ISLAMABAD (92 News) - The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) on Tuesday termed the Elections Act (Amendment) Bill as ‘unconstitutional and illegal’.

Expressing his views in the National Assembly, PTI chairman Barrister Gohar Ali said that they would challenge the bill in the Supreme Court.

“The government should tell on whose order the legislation has been made in haste. Setting aside the opposition, even the allies do not know about the content of the bill,” he added.

The PTI chairman said that before the general elections, the party was deprived of the election symbol through a conspiracy so that the people may remove it from their minds.

“The PTI founder’s ideology has penetrated among the people. The people robbing other’s rights face Hasina Wajid-like fate,” he maintained.
