Punjab CM Usman Buzdar vows to develop backward areas

TAUNSA SHARIF (92 news) – Punjab Chief Minister Umsan Buzdar has expressed the resolve to develop the backward areas. Addressing ministers, MPAs and PTI workers at Barthi on Sunday, he said that fraud was committed with South Punjab in the name of progress. “It is time to change the fate of the backward areas,” he said. The CM said that the government was working on the agenda of public service without any greed. “I myself will monitor the uplift projects,” he said. He said that establishment of Institute of Cardiology at Dera Ghazi Khan will share the load of patients in the hospitals of Multan and Lahore. ‘Past rulers have not started another hospital in seven years, but we have initiated another hospital in the 7th month,” he said. The chief minister added that economic activities would be generated in areas like Taunsa after laying roads there which will ultimately bring happiness for people likewise increasing seats in all medical colleges of Punjab will facilitate students. He said that they were serving people without any vested interest and in contrary to past, development projects are being devised after consultation with the elected members.
Turban Tying Ceremony of Sardar Usman Buzdar
Chief Minister Punjab Sardar Usman Buzdar was elected as the leader of Buzdar tribe. The turban tying ceremony was attended by thousands of tribal people. The passionate people came on motorbikes, cycles, cars and even on foot while crossing the dry mountain of Koh-e-Sulman. There was an environment festivity everywhere in Sardar Qilat Barthi. Soft and thin bread was prepared on a five-foot ‘Tawa’ as a tradition of Balochis. Another traditional dish Tareet and Chatri were also cooked. According to the Balochi tradition, people themselves slaughter the animal and ready food for their guests. Sardar Usman Buzdar was worn hundreds of turbans during this ceremony. As per tradition, the cloth gathered through these turbans was divided among poor and deserving people. The CM’s father was elected the leader of the Buzdar tribe in 1983.
