Punjab govt presented historic people-friendly budget: Marriyum Aurangzeb

LAHORE (92 News) - Senior Provincial Minister Marriyum Aurangzeb has said that the Punjab government presented a historic people-friendly budget.

Addressing the post-budget conference on Friday, she said that it was a cash-back budget and totally different from the previous ones. “In the budget, priority has been given to the health and education sectors,” she added.

Marriyum Aurangzeb said that complete reconstruction of basic health units and other health facilities are also included in the budget. “On the development side, a reasonable amount has been allocated for tractor and advance machinery. An amount has been earmarked for the solar technology in the budget,” she added.

Punjab Finance Minister Mujtaba Shujaur Rehman said that Punjab will first time generate taxes of Rs one billion. “A hefty amount of Rs630 billion will be available in the surplus head. Over 100,000 people will be provided jobs during this fiscal year,” he declared.
