Rawalpindi corps commander visits troops at Siachen: ISPR
RAWALPINDI (92 News) – Commander Rawalpindi Corps Lieutenant General Bilal Akbar on Thursday visited troops at Siachen, Inter-Service Public Relations (ISPR) said.
According to the ISPR, the commander lauded the troops for their vigilance, alertness and high morale.
Lieutenant General Bilal Akbar was appointed as Commander 10 Corps Rawalpindi in a major reshuffle in army ranks in late August.
Four kidnapped Iranian soldiers recovered in Chaghai IBO
Earlier today, Security forces conducted a successful intelligence-based operation (IBO) at Amori in Chaghai, Balochistan about 3-4 kilometres from the Pak-Afghan Border.
According to a press release issued by the ISPR, terrorists of a proscribed organization were reported to have entered Pakistan from Afghanistan side along with abducted Iranian soldiers.
After an exchange of fire, four Iranian soldiers were recovered from a transitioning hideout.
The recovered soldiers have been handed over to the Iranian authorities.
Iranian Government Spokesperson Behram Qasmi thanked the Pakistan government for recovering the kidnapped guards.
