Samsam Bukhari sworn in as Punjab Minister for Information
LAHORE (92 News) – Samsam Bukhari took the oath as a Punjab Minister for Information at Governor’s House on Wednesday.
Governor Ch Muhammad Sarwar administered him the oath. He is likely to be given the portfolio of information minister after the resignation of Fayyazul Hassan Chohan.
Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar, Provincial Ministers Raja Basharat, Sardar Mohsin Leghari, Ch Zaheeruddin, CM Spokesperson Shahbaz Gill and Mian Manzoor Ahmed Wattoo were also present.
Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar congratulated Samsam Bukhari on taking the oath and expressed best wishes for him.
He said that Samsam Bukhari is a seasoned politician and will perform his duties amicably.

Talking to the media after the oath-taking ceremony, he said that Allah Almighty Has given him respect due to decision of Prime Minister Imran Khan. “I will try to take all along with me and work as per vision of the PM and directions of the Punjab CM,” he said.
The minister said that he would tell the people that the PTI had not come to power just for talks.
Meanwhile, the Punjab government has issued a notification regarding Samsam Bukhari as the information minister.
Chohan tenders resignation over anti-Hindu remarks
Earlier today, Punjab government spokesperson Dr Shehbaz Gill has confirmed that provincial information and culture minister Fayyazul Hassan Chohan has tendered resignation from his designation over anti-Hindu remarks.
On the notice of Prime Minister Imran Khan, Fayyazul Chohan was asked to tender his resignation from his post over anti-Hindu remarks. Meanwhile, the provincial information minister resigned from his post.
Prime Minister Imran Khan has directed Punjab Chief Minister Usman Buzdar to act swiftly on the process. Usman Buzdar summoned Fayyazul Hassan Chohan at the Punjab CM’s House and sought explanation on his remarks.
“Such indecent statements against minorities are not acceptable”, PM Khan has reportedly said. The chief minister also asked him to tender his resignation.
