Shahid Khaqan Abbasi claims that differences exist within PML-N

ISLAMABAD (92 News) - PML-N's estranged leader Shahid Khaqan Abbasi has claimed that there are difference within the party, saying that Nawaz Sharif was his leader but he does not agree with the current politics of the party.

Talking to the media outside Anti-Corruption Establishment (ACE) office on Thursday, he said the people were being summoned before the elections sometime by the police and sometime by the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) and the ACE. "Those who are not contesting the elections are being meted out the same treatment," he added.

The former prime minister said that the people want transparent elections. "This system neither worked out in 2018 nor it will work now. It is not politics to get the vote under pressure," he maintained.

He said that he thinks a tragedy occurred on May 9. "Action should have been taken against those who did it," he added.
