Shehbaz Sharif announces to accept if independent candidates show majority

LAHORE (92 News) - PML-N president Shehbaz Sharif announced to accept if the independent candidates show majority.

Talking to the media on Tuesday, he said that the results had proved the PML-N as the largest party in the country.

"We will not invite the PTI-backed independent candidates to join the PML-N. The allegations of rigging are being levelled despite winning of the independent candidates and losing of the PML-N candidates," he added.

The PML-N president said that the judgments announced by the chief justice and the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP). "In 2018, we were defeated through rigging. We neither used the abusive language nor we resorted to arson. We lodged the protest by wearing black armbands in the parliament and took the oath," he added.

He said that one-sided clamour was raised over issuance of 10-12 percent results on February 8. "In this election, Khawaja Saad Rafique accepted his defeat with an open heart," he added.
