SIC demands judicial commission for cipher probe, release of PTI leaders

ISLAMABAD (92 News) - The Sunni Ittehad Council (SIC) on Monday demanded that a judicial commission should be formed to hold a probe into the cipher case.

Expressing his views in the National Assembly, PTI leader Asad Qaisar demanded that the government should remove the ban on the statements of the PTI founder.

"The government should release the PTI leadership immediately after quashing cases against them if it wants to hold talks with us," he declared.

He said that the PTI founder was sentenced to disappoint the masses. "Our stance about the cipher is clear. Earlier, the cipher was termed fake, but later the PTI founder was sentenced on its basis," he added.

Asad Qaisar said that the PTI mandate was stolen in the elections. "We will unite all stakeholders for independent judiciary and civilian supremacy,' he added.
