Supreme Court (Review of Judgments and Orders) Act 2023 enacted

ISLAMABAD (92 News) - The Supreme Court Supreme Court (Review of Judgments and Orders) Act 2023 became the law after being signed by President Arif Alvi.

The Attorney General presented the notification in this regard during the hearing of the ECP review petition case.

After the enactment of the new law, the Supreme Court will hear the review petitions on the pattern of the SC appeals under the Article 184(3).

According to the law, the number of the larger bench will be more than the number of judges of the main bench that heard the case. The law will be applicable to the verdicts announced before the law.

According to the law experts, PML-N Quaid Nawaz Sharif and Jahangir Tareen will also be able to file appeals in their disqualification cases.
