FAISALABAD (92 News) – Legendary qawwali maestro Ustad Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan is being remembered on his 70th birthday on Saturday. 92 News will air a special programme on Ustad Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan at 11pm. Ustad Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan was born in Faisalabad on October 13, 1948. The great singer and musician died at 48 on August 16, 1997. The Pakistan government bestowed Pride of Performance on the legendary singer in 1987 for his contribution to Pakistani music. He was also honored with the prestigious UNESCO Music Prize. His massive hit 'Dam Mast Qalandar Mast Mast' became household anthems.
