Woman martyred in unprovoked Indian firing at LoC
RAWALPINDI (92 News) – A woman was martyred and another injured when Indian army resorted to unprovoked firing at the Line of Control (LoC) in Shahkot Sector targeting civil population on Wednesday.
According to the tweet of Inter Service Public Relation (ISPR) Director General Maj Gen Asif Ghafoor, the Indian forces as usual deliberately targeted civilian population, resultantly a woman martyred while another sustained injuries.
The ISPR DG said that Indian Army continued nonprofessional conduct. Besides atrocities in IOK, violating ceasefire targeted civil population in Shahkot sector across LOC.
“Such acts can’t suppress indigenous freedom struggle of brave Kashmiris in IOK,” ISPR DG Major General Asif Ghafoor said.
Pakistan Army troops responded effectively to those posts targeting civil population. Ceasefire violations along the LOC are on the rise yet again.
Firing continued near Line of Control since morning, however, Pakistan Army responded befittingly and targeted Indian Army’s positions from where firing was being generated.
In 2018, the Indian forces have carried out more than 330 ceasefire violations along the Line of Control and the Working Boundary, resulting in the martyrdom of 14 innocent civilians and injuries to 65 others.
This unprecedented escalation in ceasefire violations by India is continuing from the year 2017 when the Indian forces committed more than 1970 ceasefire violations.
