ISLAMABAD (92News) - Defence Minister Khawaja Asif said that Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur’s statement of directly negotiating with Afghanistan was tantamount to an attack on the federation.

While speaking on the floor of the National Assembly, Khawaja Asif said that there was no need to make such a statement.

“The traditions of Speaker Ayaz Sadiq should be followed instead of Asad Qaiser’s. If Asad Qaiser had maintained the traditions, the situation would have been under control,” he said.

He asked Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) to protest but avoid crossing the red line.

“The presence of the police in the Parliament is shameful, but the speeches delivered during public gatherings, with masked people standing alongside, also need to be condemned,” he emphasised.

Khawaja Asif said that KP Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur had challenged the writ of the state and warned to attack the state with a group of people, which would destroy democracy.
